Knowing what you know now, what advice would you give yourself at the start of your inquiry?
Now as zip is coming to an end, I have some advice I would tell myself at the begining of this project. I would say not to set such high expectations. I realized after we started researching that zip isn’t a PhD, you only have the time frame given to research about your inquiry question, work on your artifact, and you can’t spend every second of your life working on zip. I set much too high expectations for my final artifact. I thought I could make an entire graphic novel which is an insane goal. I barely even knew what a graphic novel was and that the definition of a graphic novel is a comic that is the length a novel. That goal wascompletely unrealistic especially seeing I basically had no experience in making comics. I have now changed my plan to create the first short section that will make up my graphic novel which is a much more realistic goal. Overall, I would tell myself to set a more realistic goal right from the start because I can always add more later if I have time so I won’t put so much pressure on myself to achieve an unrealistic goal.
